Rough Cut (Old Idea)

Here is our old idea with Kathryn playing the role of Lucy Star. We just quickly placed the shots together as we felt that we know need to begin re-shooting our new idea. The lighting here is quite dark and the concept comes across quite slowly, which is not what we wanted as it seems quite confusing the audience and not an obvious idea which we wanted them to notice.

New Idea!! Pitch

New Idea!!

Now we have decided to to the whole re-shoot we thought we should compromise the storyline of our music video. So now, just so it comes across clearer to an audience we have decided to keep the charity shop scene and now change the 'cloning' scene to the girls all in bedroom, just like a sleepover all having fun
'Charity Shop Scene'
- Drama room costume cupboard
- Main character (Lucy Star) - Now played by Kirstie
- Make use of the different costumes in the cupboard and bring in our own clothes which we could use as 80's fashions.
'Sleepover Scene'
- Girl's bedroom
- Face masks, PJ's, different wardrobe full of clothes
- Lucy Star (Kirstie) and other girl's as her friends.
(Also shown in the Pitch (Take two) we will film this scene like Sex And The City and Grease.

Editing

Now we have began editing, the sequence is beginning to come together.
But after looking at the footage and listening to feedback from teachers a other pupils, the performance piece doesn't look as energetic as it should be. After trying to edit what we have, it also looks as if our shots are too long and there is not as many cuts as there should be to match the song. We felt it didn't work as the lighting didn't put across the bright/energetic scene that we were trying to create and felt that this didn't enable us to get across the reaction from the audience that we were planning as the colours and performance came across quite dull rather than someone having a fun time and enjoying themselves.
So now we have made the decision to do a complete re-shoot and to get the whole sequence shot and edited by february half term.
